Campaigning on public television starts
Baku/17.09.13/Turan : From September 16 presidential candidates started to use free airtime on public television and radio.
The first " round table " was held on public radio with the presidential candidates and their authorized representatives. Airtime was mainly focused on mutual accusations, or rather , many members of the discussion were against the candidacy of the National Council .
The authorized representative of the candidate of the National Council Jamil Hasanli Gulaga Aslanly urged voters to vote for Jamil Hasanli that will fight against corruption, bribery , to build a just state , and restore respect for human rights and democracy.
The Central Election Commission has decided to allocate six hours a week for free airtime . On Monday , Wednesday and Friday at 21.00, on the radio , on Tuesday , Thursday and Saturday at 19:00 on TV. Every time it will be one hour. Air time will be divided equally among all registered candidates - 6 minutes for each. The speech will be held in the form of round tables.
CEC registered 10 candidates for president. The election campaign starts 23 days before the election - 16 September , until 24 hours before the vote.
Presidential elections are scheduled for October 9.
Performances of all candidates during the free air time are not available on the official website of the Public TV and Radio. On this site in connection with the presidential election there is not a special section , while it does occur on the sites of a number of foreign media in connection with the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. -03B04-
