Baku/08.10.22/Turan: At 6 a.m. on Saturday, two explosions occurred on the Crimean Bridge connecting the Crimean peninsula with Russia. Video frames distributed on social networks show how a train with tanks is burning.
Besides, the destruction of the highway running parallel to the railway is visible.
The Russian side admitted that the bridge is not functioning and communication with Crimea has been stopped.
Nothing is said about the reasons for the destruction of the highway. As for the railway, the cause of the fire is called - "the ignition of one of the fuel tanks".
According to eyewitnesses, two strong explosions were heard on the Bridge. Windows were broken in houses several kilometers away.
Ukrainian telegram channels report that two explosions have been committed. Explosives were planted in the train and in one of the cars traveling over the Bridge.
The blocking of the Crimean Bridge, 19 km long, creates serious problems for the supply of the Russian armed forces which are located in the Crimea itself, and are also fighting in the south of Ukraine (Kherson). -02B-
