Death toll in Turkey reaches 35,418
Baku/14.02.23/Turan: As of the evening of February 14, the death toll in Turkey in the earthquake on February 6 reached 35,418 people, 105,505 were injured, of which over 13 thousand continue to be treated in hospitals. This was stated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a meeting of the State Emergency Administration (AFAD), Anadolu agency reports.
The death toll from the current earthquake exceeded that of the 1939 Turkish Erzincan earthquake, which was considered the deadliest in Turkey in the 20th century. Then 32,968 people died, more than 100 thousand were injured. -02D-
