Foreign Ministers of four countries signed a joint declaration
Baku / 15.03.18 / Turan: At the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Georgia on March 15 in Baku, the creation of the South-West transport corridor was discussed, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a press conference. The meeting resulted in signing a
joint declaration. This document will allow expanding cooperation in the areas of infrastructure, transport, agriculture, Mammadyarov said.
"We are working on new projects and we hope to unite efforts, create and consolidate a format of cooperation that will connect the major regions of the world," he said and added that the new transport corridor will connect the Indian and Atlantic oceans.
Four-side cooperation will make possible the available opportunities for developing relations and trade relations, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze said, in turn.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif confirmed that the ministers discussed issues of cooperation in energy, transit of goods, tourism, etc. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu noted that the business circles of the four countries will have great opportunities for cooperation in implementing the new transport corridor. The next meeting in the quadrilateral format will be held in Georgia. -02D-
