Foreign Ministry of Belarus: Karabakh will not join the EAEC
The Nagorno-Karabakh will not join the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) after Armenia’s entry there, stated First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus, Alexander Mihnevich, according to BELTA agency.
the agency has learned.
"We had a concern that the territories which are not part of Armenia, could be a part of the Customs Union. The Armenian side accepted this demand with understanding. The agreement had been attached a note that the Nagorno-Karabakh is not part of the Republic of Armenia. An official verbal statement of the Armenian side was made," said the first deputy minister, commenting on Armenia's joining the EAEU.
During the parliamentary hearings on Armenia's joining the EAEU, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said that at one time the question raised by Kazakhstan, and aroused resonance in Armenia, concerned only one thing - the presence-absence of customs checkpoint between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We just confirmed that Nagorno-Karabakh is not the territory of the Republic of Armenia. We build a relationship with a de facto established state. "-02D-
