Foreign Ministry Warns of Illegality of "Observers" in Occupied Territories
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry warned that the involvement of "observers" in pseudo "parliamentary elections" in Nagorno-Karabakh will be regarded as violation of the laws of Azerbaijan.
Carrying “parliamentary election” in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is a gross violation of the Constitution and laws of the country, the norms and principles of international law.
This provocative step of Armenia, ignoring the calls of OSCE Minsk Group to work on the peace agreement, is intended to harm the negotiation process and to cover up its aggression against Azerbaijan, said the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev.
As in the case of a citizen of Slovakia Frantisek Miklosko, against "observers," who illegally visit the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, a criminal prosecution could be started.
With regard to Mikloshko, he is wanted by Interpol.
Recall that the separatists have appointed "elections" for May 3. -06D-

Azerbaijan is positioning itself as a key energy partner for Europe amidst growing challenges in the natural gas market following the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. The disruption, marking the end of a decade-long transit route, is expected to heighten competition in the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market and drive up prices for alternative energy sources.
