Special Lanes on Roads for Members of European Games
Special lanes on the roads will be marked for vehicles carrying athletes, dignitaries, staff, media representatives and spectators of the European Games in Baku.
This is stated in the report of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The work on the layout of these lanes has already been initiated. The total length of the lanes will be 48 kilometers. The work will be completed by the end of May.
Using these lanes by other vehicles is prohibited. Violators will be fined.
In connection with the preparation for the European Games, measures are taken to repair and update pointers to the main highways of Baku.
So, on May 2 from 10:30 to 17:00 the traffic on Heydar Aliyev Avenue (between the Airport and Sabunchu interchanges) will be restricted. On Saturday from 05:00 to 17:30 the traffic on Baku Ring Road from Nardaran to Bilgah will be limited. The road is closed for test events in triathlon. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternative way Buzovna-Mashtaga-Nardaran.
In addition, from June 1 to 30 the entry of trucks to Baku will be banned. -06D-
