Former Deputy Minister of Culture accused of receiving 1 million 800 thousand manats bribe
Baku/01.06.21/Turan: On June 1, The Serious Crimes Court read out the accusation in the case of the former Deputy Minister of Culture Rafiq Bayramov.
Thus, the former state official is accused of taking 1 million 800 thousand manats bribe (more than 1 million dollars).
The defendant partially pleaded guilty. The next trial is scheduled for June 3.
Rafiq Bayramov and the head of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture Zakir Sultanov were detained by the State Security Service in May 2020. Lawsuits have been filed against them on corruption and abuse cases.
