Four Azerbaijani-Iraqian documents signed

Baku/20.11.23/Turan: Today's talks in Baku between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Iraq Latif Jamal Rashid,  resulted in the signing ceremony of Azerbaijani-Iraqi documents.

In particular:

-"Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq";

- "Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq on cooperation in the field of tourism";

- "Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq";

- "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Iraq on air communication".

The ceremony was preceded by face-to-face talks and an expanded delegation.

During the talks, it was noted that a meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation will be held in Iraq in the near future and it will play an important role in the further expansion of trade and economic ties. The head of Iraq said that his country is "determined to further develop relations with Azerbaijan."

It was noted with satisfaction that Baku and Baghdad always support each other's positions within the framework of international organizations. It was also stressed that Azerbaijan and Iraq "suffered from the occupation, but this situation has remained in the past."

During the conversation, it was pointed out that there are favorable opportunities for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, energy, cultural, scientific, educational and tourism spheres.—06B-
