Hearing on "political terror" against the opposition

The regular meeting of the coordinating council of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF)  discussed issues of socio-political life of the country. Among them, the situation with the demolition of houses in the former Sovetskaya Street and the protection of property rights of residents, support the demands of the  students of Baku State University about cancellation of  fee  for academic debts, condemnation pressure on investigative journalist Khadija Ismailova, and  issues of European integration. Chairman of the NCDF Jamil Hasanli, speaking on all these issues, also touched on developments in Ukraine, saying about the support of the NCDF of the Ukrainian people for freedom and democracy. He also expressed strong protest to the planned provocation by the authorities in the exploding  in the office of PPFA, and the subsequent eviction of the party under the pretext of an emergency condition of the building.

The PPFA leader Ali Kerimli told about the meeting with Western diplomats , held in the office of the EU. According to him, the meeting discussed the explosion at the office of PPFA and the subsequent demolition of the house , as well as socio-political situation in the country. He noted that the meeting was attended by ambassadors and representatives of the EU mission, U.S. Embassy , Germany, UK , France, Belgium , Norway, Sweden , Poland, Croatia, Latvia and Lithuania. It was decided to hold hearings " on the policy of terror carried out by the authorities against their political opponents."

In addition,  the members of the  NCDF discussed and expressed their positions on political and military intervention by Russia in the Crimea, as well as the corruption scandal about  printing money  for Azerbaijan in Austria. According to media reports, in order to obtain this order the Austrian side paid "rollbacks" to the National Bank of Azerbaijan. It was decided to appeal to the  law enforcement agencies  with request to take action against the perpetrators. -06D-
