Human rights activists condemned the arrest of spouses Yunus
Member of the Monitoring Group of the human rights organizations of Azerbaijan, the head of the Society for Protection of women's rights, Novella Jafaroglu, condemned at today’s press conference the detention of the Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy (IPD) Leyla Yunus and her husband Arif Yunus.
The members of the monitoring group received the information about the detention of Yunus during a press conference on the human rights situation in the country. Condemning the arrest of spouses Jafaroglu said: “Perhaps we, along with other human rights defenders, will speak out in more detail in the near future.”—05C06--
