Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the statements about the US-Azerbaijan relations and the kind words in the congratulatory messages of the head of the United States Donald Trump on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Republic and the opening of the Southern Gas Corridor. During the conversation, issues of security were touched upon, a high assessment was given to the contribution of Azerbaijan to the peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan and support to the government of that country.
