Judicial and Legal Council dismissed and punished several judges
Baku/09.10.18/Turan: The Judicial and Legal Council (JLC) since its establishment, has carried out disciplinary proceedings against 230 judges. Over 100 judges were excluded from the system for violations of the law and other negative phenomena, said the Justice Minister, Fikret Mammadov, at an ATP meeting on Tuesday. During today's meeting, a number of disciplinary cases against judges were also examined. Thus, for a gross violation of the law, actions causing conditions for corruption, the judge of the Garadagh district court of Baku, Rashad Mamedov, was reprimanded. The judge of the Sabail District Court, Nureddin Bagirov was relieved of his post. The same decision was taken in respect of the judge of the Sabail District Court Nureddin Bagirov. The powers of the judge of the Zagatala District Court, Arif Ismailov, and 4 more judges were terminated early. In addition, materials of specific facts of corruption to give a legal assessment are sent to the General Directorate for Combating Corruption of the Prosecutor General's Office.
