Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Orthodox Community on Christmas Day
Baku / 06.01.20 / Turan: Head of State Ilham Aliyev congratulated the Orthodox community of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Christmas, celebrated on January 7.
Aliyev’s appeal to the Orthodox community says that for centuries, representatives of various peoples and faiths have been living in Azerbaijan in good neighborliness. One of the priorities of the country's authorities is the preservation and development of ethno-cultural diversity, multiculturalism and tolerance.
“Today, Christians are an integral part of our society,” the congratulation says.
“May Christmas bring happiness, abundance, and prosperity to your families,” the head of state said in the congratulation. -02D-
