Ilham Aliyev criticizes European Parliament
Baku/19.07.22/Turan: On July 19, President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of the European Parliament headed by David McAllister, the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
According to an official statement, Aliyev expressed dissatisfaction with the position of the European Parliament, which "groundlessly" criticizes Azerbaijan.
"As compared to the Armenian Parliament, the European Parliament is more aggressive toward Azerbaijan," he said. In particular, he referred to the "anti-Azerbaijani" resolutions of the Second Karabakh War period.
According to Aliyev, he does not understand such a position in the context of constructive relations between Azerbaijan and the European Commission and the European Union.
At the same time, he expressed astonishment that representatives of the European Parliament had not visited Azerbaijan for several years.
What McAllister said in response to these accusations was not reflected in the report on the website of the head of state. -0-
