Ilham Aliyev left for Izmir to participate in the opening STAR plant
Baku / 19.10.18 / Turan: President Ilham Aliyev left for Turkey to attend the opening ceremony of the STAR refinery in Izmir on Friday. The ceremony will be held today with the participation of the President of Turkey, other officials and high-ranking guests. According to Turkish media reports, the STAR Refinery plant will be the largest investment of Azerbaijan in Turkey. The company will produce diesel fuel, jet fuel, petroleum coke, liquefied gas and other products. The refinery will not produce gasoline and fuel oil. The plant plans to process oil varieties: Azeri Light, Kerkuk, and Urals. Refinery capacity will be 10 million tons per year. 100% of the enterprise belongs to SOCAR. -02D-

On February 5, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy has been allocated 1 million US dollars to purchase and send electrical equipment, manufactured in Azerbaijan, to Ukraine.
