Azerbaijani political emigres protest in Nuremberg
Baku /19.10.18/Turan: Azerbaijani activists in Europe launched protests against the arrest of former member of Musavat Party, Azad Hasanov, in Baku. The first action took place today in Nuremberg, Germany, the European Coordination Center Musavat said. Representatives of various parties and organizations, as well as non-party emigrants, took part in the rally. The rally participants demanded the release of Hasanov and other political prisoners. Hasanov has been in political emigration in Lithuania since 2014. On October 10, he returned to Baku to visit his seriously ill father. However, on the same day was detained.
On October 12, the Khatai District Court of Baku chose a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months. He was charged under the Article 234.4.3 (drug trafficking on a large scale) of the Criminal Code. The Musavat Party has declared political motives for the persecution of Hasanov. -03B06-
