Ilham Aliyev receives adviser to US Deputy Secretary of State
Baku/31.05.22/Turan: Today the President Ilham Aliyev received Adviser to the US Deputy Secretary of State for Energy Diplomacy Laura Lohman. According to the official website of the president, during the meeting, issues related to the activities of the Southern Gas Corridor were discussed. The role of Azerbaijan in the diversification of gas supplies and the energy security of Europe was emphasized. The parties exchanged views on increasing gas exports from Azerbaijan to Europe.
The successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in various fields was also noted. A high assessment was given to the continued support of the US government to Azerbaijan in the implementation of global energy projects, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
The head of state also spoke about the large-scale work carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of development of the electric power industry and renewable energy sources.
During the conversation, the importance of the International Exhibition "Oil and Gas of the Caspian Sea", traditionally held in Baku and its contribution to the expansion of international cooperation in the energy sector, was noted. -16D06-
