Ilham Aliyev receives the Chief of General Staff of Pakistan and the President of the PACE
On March 1 at the meeting of Ilham Aliyev with the head of the General Staff of Pakistan Rashad Mahmoud were discussed issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the military sphere. According to the press-service of the President of Azerbaijan, Rashad Mahmood expressed his country's willingness to further expand and deepen military ties with Azerbaijan. "The current visit in this regard would be helpful," he said. President Aliyev spoke about the presence of good opportunities and prospects for further development of cooperation in all fields, including the military. Today the Head of State received the President of PACE Pedro Agramunt.
PACE President stated the need for discussions with the Azerbaijani authorities a number of important issues of bilateral and regional importance. In particular, they discussed the issues of strengthening confidence and mutual understanding between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan, as well as a number of specific issues, the press service of the head of state. -02D-
