In Basel Started the OSCE Ministerial Council
In Basel, Switzerland, December 4 opened a two-day meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OSCE.
Participants representing 57 member countries and states partners were welcomed by the OSCE Chairman, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter.
The Ministerial Council will assess the progress of the previous steps and take decisions on new commitments to ensure the political, military, economic, environmental and human security.
One of the important topics of the meeting will be a crisis that has developed in the European security architecture in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
The central event of the summit is talks between the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States, John Kerry and Sergei Lavrov.
In the press center of the summit the Azerbaijani and Armenian journalists pay more attention to the planned meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov and Edward Nalbandian in the framework of the Minsk peace format. -0-
