Iranian and Azeri special services interact well, Alawi
Baku/15.12.18/Turan: There is a good relationship between the intelligence and security services of Azerbaijan and Iran, stated the Minister of Information and Intelligence of Iran, Mahmoud Alawi, on Friday evening, after meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
"Over the past five years, the security services of Iran and Azerbaijan have established constructive relations that ensured strong security for both countries," the agency IRNA quotes Alawi.
"This is my second visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan with the rank of minister of intelligence. The leaders of the Azerbaijani security services also came to Iran several times," said Alawi, adding that the leaders of the lower security services constantly interact with each other.
Official Baku does not comment on the visit of Alawi in any way. -02D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
