Is Armenia prepared for war?

 

Yerevan/09.10.12/Turan-ArmInfo: Military exercise involving army units, border guards, National Security Service and the police, which started on October 1, continue in Armenia. 

According to the  press service of the Defense Ministry, extensive measures are taken to  improve the operational units and  headquarters.

"Drones and modern antitank weapons used for the first time have been  involved.  For the first time, complex tactical maneuvers with the quantitative increase of the aircraft of  potential enemy  were caried out."

Previously, similar exercises were conducted on the territory of Karabakh. In an interview with Hungarian  ATV  television channel, the Armenian President, Sargsyan, said that

Armenian people  are willing to defend Karabakh in case of war.

Training exercises take place on the  backdrop of  talks on reopening the Khojaly airport and threats  of Baku to stop illegal flights  of Armenian  aviation. -02D-
