Joint Flights of Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey over Ganja
Baku / 15.09.20 / Turan: Demonstration flights of the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey will take place over the city of Ganja today at 14:00. The flights will involve combat aircraft and helicopters of both countries, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.
The event is dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the liberation of Baku, marked on September 15.
102 years ago, the government of the Azerbaijan People's Republic, proclaimed on May 28, 1918, was located in Ganja because of the occupation of Baku.
On September 15, during the joint operation of the Caucasian Islamic Army led by the Turkish commander Nuru Pasha and the military units of the young Azerbaijan Republic, Baku was liberated from the troops of the Socialist-Revolutionary Menshevik government Dictatorship of the Central Caspian, the armed detachments of the Armenian Dashnaktsutyun party and the British expeditionary group.
After that, the APR government moved to the capital. –06D-
