Khalafov: Iran Has Not Clarified the Reasons for the Arrest of Azerbaijani Citizens
Iran has still not disclosed the reasons for the arrest of Azerbaijani citizens. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov commenting on the reasons for the arrest of the writer Khalid Khalida and her driver Shamhal Huseynov in Tabriz on April 30.
"If the citizens of Azerbaijan are innocent, the Azerbaijani government will do everything possible for their release," said Khalafov.
According to him, the diplomatic mission in Tehran, Iran appealed to the authorities to clarify the fate of the Azerbaijani people.
Recall that the Azerbaijani citizens were arrested by the Iranian intelligence service ETTELAAT. Iran's Foreign Ministry reported the perpetration of illegal actions, but did not explain what these actions were. -16/06D-
