Khankendi receives electricity from Azerbaijan's infrastructure
Baku/25.02.21/Turan: Russian peacekeepers helped to restore the work of the Lachin hydroelectric power station, the Russian Defense Ministry said today.
As a result of the agreements reached earlier, the turbine room of the Lachin hydroelectric power station was in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers, and the dam of the hydroelectric power station - in the territory passed under the control of Azerbaijan.
With the assistance of the Russian military, the work of the Lachin hydroelectric station was resumed. The peacekeepers provided access for power engineers to the facility to carry out maintenance work on the units and systems of the power plant, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.
“It is noted that the hydroelectric power station supplies electricity to nearby settlements, as well as the city of Stepanakert (Khankendi - Turan's note),” it was reported.
However, the question arises why the Russian flag is flying over the building of the hydroelectric power station, while the inscription in Armenian remains on the building itself? -0-
