Lavrov held telephone conversations with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia
Baku/23.05.22/Turan: On May 23, a telephone conversation took place between Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the ministers exchanged views on the situation in the region, on the implementation of tripartite statements, including the opening of communications in the region, the delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
In turn, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said that Sergei Lavrov had a similar conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday.
The parties discussed the implementation of the provisions of the tripartite statements of 9 November, 11 January and 26 November.
The formation of a commission on the delimitation and security of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the unblocking of economic ties and transport communications in the region were discussed.
Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's position on the process of establishing regional peace and stability between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the report said.
It should be noted that the telephone conversations took place following the results of yesterday's meeting between Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan. Moscow strives to keep abreast of all processes and remain a participant in them. -02B-
