Louis Bono, Senior Adviser for Negotiations in the Caucasus, is in the region
Baku/14.04.23/Turan: On April 13-22, the US State Department's senior adviser on negotiations in the Caucasus, Louis Bono, will be in the South Caucasus region.
"Mr. Bono plans to meet with key stakeholders to support the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process," the spokesperson of the US Embassy to Azerbaijan said in response to the question from the Turan news agency.
"This will be an opportunity for Mr. Bono to build on the meeting of Secretary Blinken, the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan at the Munich Security Conference on February 18, the Secretary of State's telephone conversations with leaders in March and Mr. Bono's trip to the region last month.
We are encouraged by the recent efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan to participate productively in the peace process, and Mr. Bono hopes to build on this momentum.
Mr. Bono will emphasize that the United States is committed to promoting a peaceful, democratic and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region," the embassy's response reads. --02B--
