Mkhitaryan�s Decision to Visit Baku Questionable
Baku / 03.09.18 / Turan: A midfielder of the Armenian national football team and the British FC Arsenal Henrikh Mkhitaryan may miss the match with the Azerbaijani FC Karabakh in the group stage of the Europa League in Baku. This was stated by a representative of FC Arsenal.
"The safety of our players and employees is always a top priority. We will consider this situation and talk with the player, after which we will make a decision," the Evening Standard quotes the press attaché of FC Arsenal.
In turn, the head coach of FC Arsenal Unai Emery expressed the hope that Mkhitaryan will be able to play in the match against the Azerbaijani club.
"I would very much like to believe that he can go with us. I have not talked with Henrikh about this," he said.
Recall that in the group stage of the Europa League FC Arsenal, FC Sporting, FC Karabakh and FC Vorskla will compete in the same group. In Vorskla there is also an Armenian player - midfielder Gegham Kadimyan. The final of the Europa League of this season will be held in Baku. -02D-
