More than 500 Azerbaijanis returned from Russia
Baku / 22.04.20 / Turan: The return of Azerbaijanis from Russia, the entry of which into the country was temporarily prohibited in accordance with the conditions of a special quarantine regime because of the spread of coronavirus infection, has begun, reads the statement by the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on April 22.
In order to ensure the organized return of Azerbaijani citizens from Russia to their homeland, those who wish were invited to register on a special portal www.evegedirem.info. ("Coming home")
In recent days, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation, as well as coordination and cooperation with relevant state bodies of Russia, a group of Azerbaijani citizens returned to the country through a special corridor at the border checkpoint. Since April 20, 548 people have crossed the border, and they are all quarantined for a certain period of time.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that those registered on the portal “Returning Home” will be informed in advance about the date of their border crossing by phone or SMS.
Azerbaijani citizens located on the territory of the Russian Federation and registered on a special portal do not need to arrive in advance at border checkpoints and airports. They are encouraged to stay at their place of residence and wait for relevant information, the Foreign Ministry said. — 06D-
