"Musavat" requires to stop repression
"Musavat" party issued a statement condemning the repressive policies of the authorities to intimidate society. The country has a large number of political prisoners, and the lack of international pressure on official Baku helps to continue to keep them in prison, and enhance the repression.
The authorities are not interested in the image of the state, the questions of humanity, and the arrest of young member of “Musavat” party, Nigar Yagublu, testifies to it.
"Musavat" party considers it expedient to continue the pressure on Baku on the part of the Council of Europe, and demands resolution of the problem of political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
The statement said that not only politicians, but also human rights defenders and journalists are subjected to arrests and persecution in the country. "Musavat" strongly condemns this arbitrariness and illegal actions of the authorities and demands the immediate release of all political prisoners. -05D04-
