National Council demanded the release of Turkel Kerimli
Baku/24.09.13/Turan : The National Council of Democratic Forces made ??a statement in connection with the detention of the son of the PFPA leader Ali Kerimli .
The statement recalled that Turkel was arrested after the rally of the National Council on September 22 and sentenced to administrative detention for 25 days.
The National Council believes this arrest was not coincidental , but a means of pressure on the PFPA and its leader. " Blaming Turkel Kerimli is unfounded and biased and the arrest was politically motivated . Thus, the authorities are taking revenge on their political opponents , " the statement noted.
The document also states that the National Council condemns the illegal actions of official Baku and demands an end to politically motivated arrests.
The National Council believes that the arrest of Turkel Kerimli once again proved the absence of an independent judiciary in Azerbaijan , and the implementation of political orders by the courts. -05D04-
