Novruz Mammadov Revealed Sensational Details of St. Petersburg Talks
During the meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia in St. Petersburg an agreement was reached on a phased settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Such a sensational statement was made by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov in an interview with ANS TV channel.
"During the meeting, the sides preferred a phased settlement of the conflict. That is, we must continue to move forward step by step in resolving the conflict. First, there will be release of five regions (Agdam, Fizuli, Jabrail, Zangilan and Gubadli) of Azerbaijan, then two more regions (Lachin and Kelbajar) and the definition of the corridor (between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh). Further there will be definition of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. On these issues the parties have reached agreement in principle," Mammadov said.
However, Mammadov did not rule out that Armenia, as it has happened many times before, can arrange a provocation to disrupt the agreement. 06D--
