Novruz Mammadov: Sargsyan Had Disservice to His People
The Armenian President's refusal to negotiate is a bad sign. Thus, he had a bad service to his people. This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov.
At the same time, he noted that Azerbaijan intends to solve the conflict peacefully. "We have been trying to do it for more than 20 years. But as soon as the opportunity arises, the Armenian side disrupts the peaceful settlement. This already took place in 2009 and 2014, and now in early April. The Armenians committed a provocation and got what they deserved," he said in an interview with reporters.
Earlier, speaking at the Global Forum of Civilizations, Mammadov said the mediators do not refer to international principles on the Karabakh conflict. Geopolitical ambitions lie at the heart of this conflict. "Seven regions are occupied around Karabakh, but nobody tries to talk about them, or notice them. In other words, international law is not taken into account.
The same applies to the four known resolutions of the UN Security Council, which no one remembers. This injustice is the cause of conflicts and tragedies in many parts of the world," said Mammadov.
According to Mammadov, all these processes stem from the interests of the big powers. "There is no justice, because big powers do not want it," he said. -16D-
