Baku/23.06.23/Turan: The number of special forces personnel in various security agencies has grown manifold in Azerbaijan. It was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on June 23 at the ceremony of presentation of the "Combat Banner" of one of the military commando units of the Ministry of Defence.
He stressed the recent significant increase in the number of special forces under the Ministry of Defence.
During the war (the second Karabakh war) special forces of the Ministry of Defense showed particular heroism and professionalism, Aliyev said.
At the same time, he pointed out that the number of marines under the Ministry of Defense has grown several times and "this growth continues".
"State Border Service, Internal Troops, State Security Service, Foreign Intelligence Service - the number of special forces of these structures has grown many times," Aliyev said.
He stressed that "this large force has one goal - to protect our territory, to ensure the territorial integrity of our country and in case of threat to our security to deliver crushing blows to enemy forces." -06В-
