Official Baku on Upcoming Meeting in Washington
Baku / 15.06.19 / Turan: Armenia itself dispels the myth that the existing conflict takes place between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh. The behavior of the Minister of Defense of Armenia is another confirmation of the aggressive policy of Armenia and that is why the negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict are conducted between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Leyla Abdullayeva said this, commenting on the expectations of the upcoming meeting of Foreign Ministers of the two countries in Washington on June 20 against the background of recent statements by official Yerevan and awarding the killer of the Azerbaijani military by the Armenian Defense Minister.
"As for the agenda of the talks, we have always noted and now we repeat that the main point of the discussions is the issues of liberation of the occupied territories and return of Azerbaijani IDPs to their homes," said Abdullayeva.
"We hope that in the continuation of the Moscow meeting at the talks in Washington, the parties will achieve concrete results. Also, in our opinion, there should be an end to the uncertainty in the position of the leadership of Armenia.
Only a clear position, determination and political will can contribute to a peaceful settlement, the representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. -06D-
