Official welcoming ceremony of Ilham Aliyev

Baku/20.05.14/Turan : Monday was the first day of the official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Vietnam. After the official welcoming ceremony a conversation was held with the Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang in a narrow circle and then in a wide circle.

At the meeting it was pointed out that the relations between our two countries in the political, economic and other spheres are developing successfully. The sides highlighted the importance of the state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Vietnam in terms of strengthening relations indicated by the presence of a good potential for further expansion of the ties.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral, international and other issues of mutual interest, the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.

After the talks, the ceremony of signing Azerbaijani -Vietnamese documents was held.

"Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov and the Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

" Convention between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the avoidance of double taxation with respect to income and property taxes and the prevention of tax evasion" was signed by the Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov and the Minister of Finance of Vietnam Dinh Dung Tian .

During his visit to Hanoi Ilham Aliyev met with Vietnamese graduates from Azerbaijani universities. -0 -
