Opposition forces create a broad coalition for fair elections
Opposition forces of Azerbaijan are going to create a new movement for democratic presidential elections on 16 October 2013 This issue was discussed on Friday in the headquarters of the Civil Solidarity Party (CSP) with a wide range of opposition forces.
The discussions were attended by leaders of "Public Chamber", including the heads of "Musavat" party, the Popular Front, El Movement, Advisory Majlis of Democratic Forces, a number of other parties and youth movements, and civil society activists.
During the meeting it was agreed to develop a Memorandum of measures to be implemented for free, fair and democratic elections.
A working group has been created for the preparation of the document. It is planned to establish the position of the working bodies of the new movement. The next meeting in this format will be held at the end of next week.—06D—

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
