OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs want to visit Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Baku/01.06.21/Turan: Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), Stefan Visconti (France) and Andrew Schaefer (USA) could soon agree on the possibility of a visit to the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Said on June 1 st Alexander Lukashevich, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, at an online press conference.
“It is very important that the co-chairs manage to get to the region in the near future and determine the situation on the spot, talk with the parties already on the spot,” he said. “This is very important. I think that such opportunities could open up in the very near future,” quotes the diplomat by TASS news agency.
"Plus, of course, there is an acute issue of admission of international humanitarian organizations to help the population. There are also a lot of organizational details, which are interpreted in different ways by the parties," Lukashevich added. -0-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.

On November 22, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding a peace treaty in an interview with Public TV.
