Pashinyan refused to sign a declaration following the CSTO summit
Baku/23.11.22/ Turan: Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan refused to sign a declaration following the CSTO summit in Yerevan on November 23.
He explained this by the absence in the document of a political assessment of Azerbaijan's "aggression" against the territorial integrity of Armenia.
“The draft Declaration of the CSTO and on joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia has not been sufficiently finalized, and in this form, with all due respect, I am not ready to sign these documents,” - he said during the meeting.
The reason why Pashinyan decided not to sign the document is the lack of a political assessment of Azerbaijan's "aggression" against the territorial integrity of Armenia by the CSTO.
He mentioned incidents on the border of the two countries on May 11 and November 14, 2021 and September 13, 2022, the Armenian prime minister pointed out, as a result of which Azerbaijan "occupied" about 140 square kilometers of Armenian territory. -0-
