Ramil Eynaliev

Ramil Eynaliev, an activist from the Lankaran branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PPFA), has been administratively arrested for 30 days on charges of "disobeying the police." According to the PPFA, Eynaliev was detained the day before and taken to the third police station of the Khazar district in Baku. The party believes that the true reason for his arrest is a critical comment he made on social media.

The fate of another PPFA activist, Asker Agasoy, remains unclear. He was detained the day before in the village of Ustyup in the Ordubad region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

By the end of the working day on January 16, he was still being held at the Ordubad district police department. Neither his family nor his comrades from the party have been informed by the police about the reasons for his detention.
