Police put pressure on the Democratic Party youth activists
Youth activists of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) are being harassed by law enforcement authorities. This is stated in a release sent to Turan by the press service of DPA.
Thus, a young activist Osman Akhmedov was summoned to the 34th branch of Khatai District Police. An officer named Namik Rahimov told Akhmedov that in connection with the participation in the meetings he must report to the police.
Another youth activist - Azar Sadikhov is under pressure by the Astara district police. The officer Elvin Azadaly from the district department demanded his family to provide his immediate coming to police in connection with his participation in mass actions.
"Seeing low effectiveness of major fines for protesters, the authorities are now using the old repressive methods to keep young people from participating in actions," stated the DPA.
