Prosecutor General's Office has begun confiscating property abroad
Baku/24.01.22/Turan: "The process of confiscation of property owned by the accused and located in foreign countries has started. This was stated today by Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev at a meeting of the Office's board dedicated to the results of the year 2021.
As a result of measures taken last year to identify and track assets in the area of special confiscation, there were identified 227 properties, 83 land plots, 314 vehicles, 51 card accounts and 22 bank settlement accounts in various banks belonging to the accused. In fact, 109 vehicles and 12 properties belonging to the accused were detected.
"At the same time, appropriate measures have been taken to confiscate the property located abroad," said the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan.-06B-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
