Attempt to smuggle 30 kg of drugs from Iran prevented
Baku/24.01.22/Turan: An attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan has been prevented, the State Border Service (SBS) reported.
According to the SBS, on January 22, at about 7:45 pm, two unknown men crossed the Azerbaijani border near Shikhaliagali village of Jabrayil region.
The border patrol was immediately raised by the "alarm" command and the service area was closed. One of the infiltrators who did not obey the border guard's "Stop" order, fled using the darkness, the other was detained. The detainee was Iranian citizen Asadli Ali Hudaverdi, born in 1985.
He had about 30 kg. of narcotic and psychotropic substances, including opium, heroin, marijuana and methadone-40 pills. -16В-
