Public committee to protect the rights of Nigar Yagublu

Public committee  has been created to protect the rights of Nigar Yagublu, a member of the youth organization of the party "Musavat" who   was  arrested a few days ago on charges of  road accidents.

On Tuesday at the headquarters of the party "Musavat" The constituent meeting of the Committee took place  on Tuesday in the headquarters of the party "Musavat"  party, and the writer and publicist Mehriban Vazir, member of the "Public Chamber",  was elected a chairman of the Committee.  The lawyer Vagif Hajibeyli has been assigned to protect human Yagublu.

The leader of "Musavat" party, Isa Gambar, criticized pre-trial arrest of a young girl, describing it as "the crossing the red line by the authorities."

 First the arrest of Yagublu  was accepted  as an error of the authorities, which

they will eliminate. However, this did not happen, and the public is going

actively  to protect the rights of  Nigar Yagublu.

PFPA leader Ali Kerimli called the arrest of Yagublu  politically motivated.

"This is an expression of the  attitude of authorities to Nigar and the  political activity of her father, and in general to people with opposing views," said Kerimli.

This arrest is also intended to intimidate politically active women.

The authorities often speak about the national mentality, respect a woman, but now they are canceling out all the national and moral values.

"To release Nigar  it is necessary to  increase international pressure on the government,"  said Arif Hajili, the head of the apparatus of the party "Musavat".
