Ramiz Mehdiyev accused the dismissed minister of the Diaspora in embezzlement
Baku / 24.04.18 / Turan: The head of the presidential administration, Ramiz Mehdiyev, criticized the work of the former leadership of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora. Presenting today the staff the new chairman Fuad Muradov, he sharply criticized the previous leadership.
"During the presidency of Nazim Ibrahimov, there was no work with Azerbaijanis living abroad. That is why, today some Azerbaijanis living in Europe, the US and other regions make provocative appeals against the Azerbaijani statehood. Of course, all these are consequences of the incompetent work of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora," Mehdiyev said.
"Ibrahimov could not cope with the work, as was known to the president, and therefore he was dismissed from his post. Despite the amount allocated by the state for the organization of certain activities, these funds did not reach the addressees," Mehdiyev concluded.
Ibrahimov, in turn, commenting on these charges, denied Mehdiyev's allegations of financial abuse. A few years ago, one of Ibrahimov"s brothers, Tagi Ibrahimov, was forced to abandon the ownership of the television channel ATV. His another brother, Ibrahim "Negramsky", the author of the adventure project "Caspian Islands", figured in the scandal about not returning loans to the "International Bank". -06D--
