Russia intends to sign an agreement with the CIS countries on the protection of state borders
The Russian government has prepared a draft agreement on the establishment of the CIS joint expert groups of border agencies for the protection of the borders of the Commonwealth. Relevant document is available today on the official website for legal information.
The document envisages "the creation of a joint group of experts to assist in providing security of external borders of the parties to the agreement and to gather information about the situation on the borders."
It is assumed that an agreement will be signed by Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan , Moldova , Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan , Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan , Russia and Ukraine. Costs for travel experts will be pay the parties which send their experts to the group, and their location will be provided by requestor.
