Son of Ali Kerimli arrested for 25 days (UPDATED)
Turkel Kerimli, son of the leader of Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli, has been sentenced to 25 days in jail on charges of not subordinate to the police. Two other young men detained with him, Ulvi Nuriyev and Joshgun Salayev were respectively 25 and 30 days in jail, according to Fahraddin Mehdiev, the lawyer of T.Kerimli.
The lawyer said the court's decision is illegal. According to him, the young people were looking at the campaign posters, and the police arrested them. He denied the words of the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that young people were drunk.
According to the lawyer, first the police drawn up a protocol about the failure of campaign materials and monetary penalty from 35 to 60 manat, but then the charge was changed to "not subordination police."
The lawyer said that the police officers themselves testimonies at the trial against the young people. He believes that the court's decision is politically motivated, and it will be appealed.—1606D--

Orhan Mansurzade, Press Officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, provided details about the detention of Turkel Kerimli, son of Ali Kerimli, the leader of Popular Front Party.
According to Mansurzade, Turkel Kerimli and two young men were tearing up campaign materials of presidential candidates and they ignored the demand of police to stop. "Being drunk, they did not obey the lawful demands of the police, and therefore were detained. In connection with this, a protocol on administrative violation and the case was sent to court," said Mansurzade.
The young men will face up to a month of imprisonment.—1606D-

The night before, police arrested Turkel Kerimli, the son of the leader of Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli.
According to Ali Kerimli, his son is accused that he and two friends on the street ostensibly tore posters of presidential candidates. "He was caught when he was walking through the city with friends," said Kerimli.
The detainees were taken to the 22nd police department in the Nasimi district. They are expected to appear before the court.
"The fact that Turkel tore posters is a lie. His detention is connected with the rally on September 22.
Power in this way is trying to take revenge on me and my family," said Kerimli.
