Special Communications and Information Agency Established
Azerbaijan established the State Security Agency of Special Communication and Information of the Special State Protection Service. President Ilham Aliyev decreed: "On measures on improvement of activity in the field of information security" on 25 September.
The new public service agency was established within the Security Department of Special Communication and Information of the Special State Protection Service.
The government agency was created to ensure protection of information processes, protect the stability and security of information resources of state authorities to prevent risks in this area, coordinate the activities of state and non-state actors and users of infrastructure, risk assessment and management in the field of cyber security, etc.
Additionally, the goals of the agency will be to coordinate information bodies in cyber security, monitor existing and potential cyber threats, and provide education to public and private organizations in the field of cyber security. A center for coordination of electronic security was created under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Last year, leading information resources in the country, including official websites of several government agencies, were subject to cyber attacks from abroad, and were temporarily disabled. -06D -

The report on the investigation into the AZAL plane crash, published by the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, is "preliminary and does not contain conclusions about the causes of the incident," a message from “Rosaviatsiya” – the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia. “Rosaviatsiya” noted that the work of the commission will continue, and conclusions about the incident will be presented in the final report.
