State Commission of Azerbaijan on Exchange of Bodies of Killed, Prisoners of War
Baku / 17.12.20 / Turan: Azerbaijanis and Armenians continue to work on finding the bodies of those killed during the war with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers and Red Cross employees. This was stated by the deputy head of the State Commission of Azerbaijan for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Eldar Samedov.
Since the beginning of the search work, 314 bodies of Azerbaijani soldiers and 775 bodies of Armenians have been found. The process continues, he said.
In total, the Azerbaijani side extradited 54 people to Armenia. Some of them were detained on the territory of Azerbaijan until September 27, that is, before the start of hostilities.
According to him, three citizens of Azerbaijan are being held captive in Armenia and Baku demands their release from Armenia, Samedov noted.
It should be noted that in recent days, prospecting work has been carried out in the Fizuli and Jabrayil regions, where the fiercest battles took place. -02D-
