Tatarstan calls on Azerbaijan to use transport opportunities of Volga-Caspian basin more actively
Baku/29.11.22/Turan: President Ilham Aliyev received on Tuesday in Baku a delegation headed by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to a report on the website of the President of Tatarstan, Minnikhanov said that an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation is in force between the Republics.
Besides, an intergovernmental commission has been created. "We should more actively use transport and logistics opportunities of the Volga-Caspian basin," he emphasized noting such promising directions as energy and industry, automobile production, petrochemistry and gas motor fuel.
Minnikhanov also informed Aliyev that on behalf of the Russian President he heads the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" and invited a representative of Azerbaijan to take part in the work of the Group.
He also invited the Azerbaijani delegation to participate in the international economic summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazaSummit".
In tur, Aliyev wished the Tatarstan delegation good and productive work during the visit to Azerbaijan, the report said.
The Azerbaijani side has so far published only a short report on Aliyev's meeting with Minnikhanov.
Note that Minnikhanov is visiting Baku on November 28-29. The programme of the visit includes not only official talks, but also communication with Tatar public organizations of Azerbaijan, visiting an exhibition on the history of the Tatars in Azerbaijan. -06D-
